Join world-class outdoor photographer Don Paulson for a 7 day instructional tour in the San Juans!

His Fall tour is already SOLD OUT!

Join Don Paulson and Emerald Isle Sailing Charters for an unforgettable photographic adventure. Based aboard the Na’walak, a beautiful 54-foot pilothouse ketch, you will experience and photograph the unique beauty and sunny weather of Washington’s San Juan Islands.  The alluring charm of this archipelago is expressed both in its natural landscapes, and its diverse wildlife. Grass and moss carpeted hillsides give way to graceful madronas and sculpted firs. This trip coincides with the peak wildflower bloom that fill the meadows. A variety of trails provide great opportunities for discovery. A sunny overlook, a hidden cove, a quaint one-room school house, or an abandoned lighthouse are among the myriad treasures to be found.

This trip is ideal for photography enthusiasts who wish to improve their photography skills.  You will photograph alongside professional nature photographer Don Paulson, both on shore and aboard the Na’walak. Don will be available throughout the trip for any help or photo advice you may need.  His passion for photography is contagious and you will be inspired to try new and creative ways to make photographs. If you are new to photography, Don will put you at ease with his knack for clear and simple explanations to your questions.  Advanced photographers will benefit from Don’s extensive knowledge and many years of working as a full-time nature photographer.  In the evenings you may wish to download and view your photos for the day. Don will be available to help you with any of your downloading or photo editing questions.
